Sights Information

Okushiri Island

Okushiri Island, located in the Sea of Japan, is surrounded by crystal clear waters, and many people travel to the island to enjoy the abundance of seafood. Enjoy the unique ingredients of the Sea of Japan, such as northern sea urchin, abalone, shabu-shabu of Atka mackerel.

Lake Toya

Lake Toya is an attractive place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The Silo Observatory offers a panoramic view of the island in a large lake, a walking trail where you can see the eruption site of Mount Usu up close, canoe tours, and horseback trekking. From April to October, the lake is filled with fireworks every night!

Lake Shikotsu

Lake Shikotsu is a caldera lake formed by the accumulation of water in a sinkhole created by a volcanic eruption 40,000 years ago. Because of the high transparency of the water, you can observe living creatures on a sightseeing boat and see the columnar jointed rocks at the bottom of the lake, etc. The Hyoutou Festival held in January and February is fantastic and illuminated.

Jozankei

Jozankei, located 30 km from Sapporo, is a scenic spot where you can enjoy lush greenery and valleys. There is a walking path in the center of Jozankei Hot Spring. The autumn leaves are beautiful.

Mt. Yotei

Hokkaido's most famous mountain, also known as "Ezo Fuji", is located at the western edge of Shikotsu-Toya National Park. The perfect conical form makes you feel happy when you see it, and you can enjoy as many as 80 kinds of alpine plants near the summit in summer.
