Sights Information

Hahajima

Hahajima Island is the only inhabited island of the Ogasawara Islands besides Chichijima. Located 40 kilometers further south, Hahajima is somewhat smaller, less developed and even more remote than Chichijima. However, it shares the same climate and offers a lot of the same outdoor attractions such as beaches, snorkeling, jungle trekking and whale and dolphin watching.

Green Pepe

That's the islander's name for these eerie luminous mushrooms. The Japanese name is yakōtake. The scientific name is Mycena chlorophos. Surprisingly small, and quite strange.

Historical Battle Site Tour

During the Second World War, Ogasawara became the stage of war with the American army, and Chichijima was severely attacked. There are still traces of war on the island, including numerous air defenses and cannons built by the Japanese army at the time. Let's think about the importance of peace as you tour the remaining battlefields so as not to repeat the miserable history.

Sea Kayak

Sea kayaks skim across the dark blue sea. Enjoy a sea adventure in an eco-friendly sea kayak and gazedown through the crystal-clear watar. Explore hidden beaches that are difficult to access without a sea kayak. You can also enjoy snorkeling.

Community bus

The bus runs every day and there are 2 rout (blue line & orange line). A timerabli is available at either the community bus office or tourist association. The one-way fare is 200 JPY for an adult
